Michael Cera to replace Laura Carmichael in season 3 of Downton Abbey after a tragedy on set.
Says Julian Fellowes on the casting change, “We were shocked and appalled when a rouge black bear wandered on set and mauled the late Ms. Carmichael.”
Luckily enough, Cera happily agreed to fill the part and was overheard gushing, “Edith was always my favorite sister, and I’m so excited to be able to live my lifelong dream of playing the role.”

Modern aircraft carriers are so large, and their flight decks so high above the water, that sea conditions from a sailor’s vantage point aboard one of them can be deceiving. When a smaller ship passes alongside, the sea state can show itself more fully, as it does here.
